One Action Item Left - Finish Bottles!

Time sure does fly by. Austin is now 39 weeks old (gestationally speaking) and has been in the NICU for almost 10 weeks. He is doing really well on everything except for eating. He has finished only 4 bottles in the past 4 weeks. He does seem to be doing better, but still has a long way to go before he finishes 6 - 8 bottles a day. Once he starts finishing his bottles, he gets to come home.

DeAnn has been dying to come see me. She was finally able to find a time that she could make it and mommy was available, which is not an easy task.

I had my second brain scan last week. They were checking the structure of the brain and also to see if there was any signs of bleeding. Everything came back normal and there were no concerns.

I have not had a true brady since February 15th, which is a big deal.

This morning, they weaned me from all oxygen support. So no more nasal cannula!

Today I weighed in at 6 pounds, 9.6 ounces. Is that a double chin I see??

Grandma Sutten, Uncle Ritchie and Aunt Amy came up to see me. Cousin Jordan was also there but it will be awhile before I get to meet him. I've changed a lot since the last time they saw me, which was shortly after I was born. Grandma held me for close to three hours and I don't think she ever took an eye off me. I slept most of the time but she just kept staring at me anyway =)

Just hangin out with Grandma and Uncle Ritchie.

The nurse practioner told us that we need to spend more "fun" time with Austin. Which means less work and more play. So the nurses get to bottle feed him while we get to spend time talking to him, massaging him and just having fun time with him. We still bottle feed him once a day, but the rest of the time we just hang out with him, which is really nice!

Just rubbing the back of my head...

Fun time with mommy...

Mommy and Daddy stopped by to see me before going on their big Valentine's Day date.
