Catch Up...Again

I am a big blog post slacker...again...so brace yourselves, it's gonna be a long one.  In all fairness, 3 major holidays, Austin's birthday and a trip to Nebraska were all contributing factors this time.

Aiden learning how to hit a ball.  Austin was napping when Aiden was getting his learn on, which explains why he is absent from the below photos.  The boys absolutely love playing baseball in the back yard.

I assume that sticking the tongue out is helpful.

I guess he got tired of standing.

Austin's crazy hair after a nap.

Cool Aiden at Thanksgiving.

Austin had a great 4th birthday.  We had a small party the Saturday before his actual birthday and then celebrated each and every day in between.  I think both boys were on a month long sugar high.

Aiden, at the party, just minutes before the big crash.  His look says it all.

The big crash.

Austin and Aiden at Chuck E Cheese on Austin's birthday.  They absolutely love that place.  I absolutely hate it.

We all had a great Christmas this year...especially due to the fact that it was a white one!  It was Aiden's first time playing in the snow and both boys both loved all 5 minutes of it.  Yeah, the excitement passed quickly when we realized that we don't exactly have clothes suited for playing in the snow.

They really wanted to build a snowman, but it was just too cold outside for them.  Daddy decided he would bite the bullet and brave the cold to build them a snowman.  They managed the project from inside the house.
The (extremely sad) finished product. :)

Brothers snuggling.
My sweet boys...well, most of the time anyway.

Austin had his 4 year checkup in January. The pediatrician said everything looked great but he is still extremely small for his age. He is in the 3rd percentile for weight, 10-25th percentile for height and less than 1st percentile for BMI. She said that as long as he stays on track with the small growth curve he is currently on, then she doesn't feel there is anything to worry about. She said we need to be concerned if he drops off the charts completely, with no growth at all. He eats decent (sometimes) but he is extremely active and doesn't eat much meat. My fear is that he will never catch up and be the little guy in his class. Kids can be really mean sometimes and that makes me worry about him. Guess only time will tell.

Baxter just tries to take it all in stride.  He loves him some Austin, but he still wants to eat Aiden.
