6 Weeks Old

Today I weighed 5 pounds, 1.9 ounces. I completed my bottle for daddy this morning and I also completed it for mommy tonight. I usually tucker out and can't finish my bottles, but I did really good today.

The doctors decided to reduce my oxygen flow a couple of days ago. I am now down to 1.5 liters of oxygen, I was previously on 2. I'm doing pretty good with it, but they have had to increase the percentage to 23% - 30% at times to help keep my saturation levels up.

I am doing much better with my brady's. Which means I no longer get my daily shot of espresso at 9PM. That's right, they took my caffeine away. It takes about a week to get out of my system, so we'll know in a couple days how things turn out.

Now that I'm in my big boy bed, mommy and daddy feel much more comfortable about things. So they allowed Grandma Netz to change my diaper and feed me yesterday. It's been a long time since she changed a diaper, but she did a good job.

Yesterday, the nurse told mommy and daddy that my legs were swollen and that I was retaining water. So they gave me a dose of diuretics last night to help with it. This morning, they performed my third chest x-ray to check for fluid in my lungs. The results showed that things were kind of cloudy, meaning that there was some water. So they ordered my third echo and did that today as well to check my heart murmer to see if my PDA is getting bigger. We are still waiting to hear the results, but we should know tomorrow how things are progressing.
